Quem é Fawnia Dietrich?

“Eu nasci em 1975, na pequena cidade de Kamloops, BC Canadá. Em 1983 eu mudei para a bela cidade de Victoria, BC. Meus interesses que continuamente cresciam incluíam corrida, arte (desenho), teatro e dança. Eu sempre soube que eu gostava de dançar quando estava crescendo, mas eu nunca tive uma formação formal disso. Em outubro de 1994 na idade de 19 eu comecei a minha formação e carreira como uma dançarina exótica. Aprendendo conforme fui fazendo, ao vivo e na frente do mundo, eu me apaixonei pelo pole. Vendo as mulheres no palco fazendo os movimentos mais surpreendentes nas barras me inspirou a aprender e criar, tanto quanto eu podia. Onde tinha uma escola?

Perguntei ao pessoal do clube onde ficava uma escola ou estudio de dança exótica para aprender os movimentos de pole. Suas respostas para mim foi “não há escola, você aprende enquanto dança no palco.” Eu não podia acreditar que não havia um lugar para ir, e aprender a fazer movimentos no pole, caminhar, dançar, e rastejar; fazer tudo o que faz de alguém um grande dançarino exótico. Apenas dois meses depois que eu aprendi o meu primeiro movimento, “The Fire Man”, eu comprei uma barra de bronze de uma loja de metal, e comecei a ensinar. A data foi dezembro de 1994. Enquanto o resto do mundo estava indo sobre seus negócios, abri a primeira Escola de Dança Exótica do mundo e produzi o DVD de instrução: Pole Work, volume 1. O primeiro de seu tipo no mercado, fazendo-me uma pioneira do que hoje é mania da América, Pole Dance para fitness!Eu amoPole Dance. Pole dancing me deu uma maneira única de expressar-me de maneira mais natural do que qualquer outra coisa, na primeira vez que pisei no palco. Mesmo estando nervosa com o meu queixo tremendo, eu encontrei o meu lugar. Como não poderia ter uma escola? Como as mulheres poderiam apenas ir para o palco e dançar no pole? Onde estava a orientação, o ensino? Eu tive então que começar a ensinar! Eu nunca quis que ninguém passasse pelo que eu passei na minha primeira vez. Ser um amador e novo em qualquer profissão é assustador e, por algum motivo que eu considero sorte, percebi que o meu propósito era de estar por trás da barra, apoiando e orientando todas as pessoas que queriam tentar.

Hoje eu vivo em Las Vegas e eu tenho o luxo de possuir o meu próprio estúdio, que se chama Pole Fitness Studio onde ensino mulheres (e homens) de todo o mundo a dançar pole. Eu fui votada como a Poler Pro-UPA do Ano de 2011, e serei uma das apresentadoras da primeira feira de pole dance dos EUA (Pole Expo)comJenyne Butterfly. Onde estaríamos sem o Pole Dance? Fawna Who is Dietrich?

"I was born in 1975 in the small town of Kamloops, BC Canada. In 1983 I moved to the beautiful city of Victoria, BC. My interests include race that continues to grow, art (drawing), theater and dance. I always knew I liked to dance when I was growing up, but I never had formal training it. In October 1994 at the age of 19 I started my training and career as an exotic dancer. Learning as I was doing, live and in front of the world, I fell in love with pole. Seeing the women on stage doing the most amazing moves on the bars inspired me to learn and create as much as I could. Where there was a school?

I asked the staff of the club where he was a school or dance studio to learn the exotic pole moves. Their responses to me was "there is no school, you learn while dancing on stage." I could not believe that there was a place to go and learn to make moves the pole, walking, dancing, and crawl, do whatever makes someone a great exotic dancer. Only two months after I learned my first movement, "The Fire Man", I bought a brass bar of a metal shop, and began teaching. The date was December 1994. While the rest of the world was going about their business, opened the first Exotic Dance School in the world and produced the instructional DVD: Pole Work, volume 1. The first of its kind on the market, making me a pioneer of today's craze of America, Pole Dance for fitness, I amoPole Dance. Pole dancing has given me a unique way to express myself more naturally than anything else, the first time I stepped on stage. Despite being nervous about my chin trembling, I found my place. How could not have a school? Because women could only go on stage and dance on pole? Where were the orientation, teaching? I then had to start teaching! I never wanted anyone to go through what I went for my first time. Being an amateur and in any new job is daunting and, for some reason I feel lucky, I realized that my purpose was to be behind the bar, supporting and guiding all those who wanted to try.

Today I live in Las Vegas and I have the luxury of owning my own studio, called Pole Fitness Studio where I teach women (and men) around the world to dance pole. I was voted the UPA Pro-Poler of the Year 2011 and will be presenting one of the first fair in the U.S. dance pole (Pole Expo) comJenyne Butterfly. Where would we be without the Pole Dance?
